Obituary : Wilbur Thomas Hagadone
Wilbur T. Hagadone, a resident of this area for over 65 years, died Tuesday
at his Sandpoint home. He was 81. Funeral services will be held Friday,
Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. from the Moon Chapel with Chuck Wigton of the First
Christian Church officiating. Mr. Hagadone was born Sept. 5, 1904 at
Melrose, Wis., to Lulu and George Hagadone. He moved with his family to
northeastern Montana in 1909, and then to the Sandpoint area in 1919. He
worked at the Dover Mill and Humbird Lumber Co. in Sandpoint. In the 1930s he
also worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps. He and his parents operated
a dairy farm west of Sandpoint. He was a longtime member of the Sandpoint
Eagles Lodge. He is survived by one brother, Wayne, of Sandpoint; two
sisters, Ada Phillips and Linda Culley, both of Sandpoint; and numerous
nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, John, in 1983.
