Obituary : Harold Hagadone
Final Rites Held
Final rites for Harold Hagadone, life-long Lexington resident, were Monday in
First United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. The Rev.
James K. Irwin officiated. His death occurred unexpectedly Thursday evening.
Pallbearers were Keith Low, Robert Ward, Joe Jeffrey, Carl Knudsen, Stanley
Knudsen, and Charles Robinson. Harold Hagadone, son of P.C. and Etta
Hagadone was born Aug. 4, 1898, at Lexington. He spent his entire lifetime
in this community and for about 60 years was in the restaurant business. He
was united in marriage to Ellen Knudsen on Sept. 19, 1919. Two children
were born to them. Mr. Hagadone had been a member of United Methodist Church
since March 20, 1910. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs.
marietta K. Mewes of Lincoln and (Private);
a twin sister, Mrs. Hazel Daniels of South Bend, Ind.,; five grandsons and
one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and two
sisters. Those here from a distance for the rites were Mr. and Mrs. W.L.
Mewes, Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Pearce and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Carlberg, Denver; Homer Stark and Mrs. and Mrs. Edw. Wollock,
Yankton, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Ellcius Knudsen, Shelton; Walt Hagadone of Cozad.
