Thorwald R. Hagadone

Thorwald R. Hagadone, 72, a farmer and custodian for the Poplar school system until he retired in 1973, died Sunday in Trinity Hospital, Wolf Point. Born in Melrose, Wis., he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dugald Hagadone, Sr., who moved to Culbertson in 1912. He married Helen Schow in Wolf Point and they farmed north of Culbertson until 1934. Survivors include his wife; (Private); his mother, Mary Hagadone of Poplar; a sister, (Private); four brothers, Myron of Kalispell, Bill and (Private), both of Poplar, and (Private) of Wolf Point; 33 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery, Culbertson, with Clayton Memorial Chapel in charge.

Torwald R. Hagadone, 72, died Sunday at Trinity Hospital in Wolf Point. He was born December 11, 1905 at Melrose, Wisc., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dugald Hagadone Sr. The family moved to Culbertson in 1912 and he received his education in the Culbertson schools. On May 15, 1927, he married Helen Schow at Wolf Point. They farmed north of Culbertson until 1934 and then moved to Poplar where he farmed and also worked as custodian for the Poplar School System until he retired in 1973. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Poplar. He is survived by his wife, (Private); his mother, Mrs. Mary Hagadone of Poplar; a sister, (Private); four brothers, Myron, Kalispell, Bill and (Private), both of Poplar, and (Private) of Wolf Point; 33 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Poplar, the Rev. John Orwig officiating. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Culbertson with Clayton Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
