NOTES
Edwin Smith fought in the American Civil War. He enlisted 13 August 1862 in
Company B of the 99th Indiana Infantry, and fought in the battles of
Missionary Ridge, Dallas, Jonesboro, and Decatur, as well as accompanying
General Sherman on the "March to the Sea." Edwin Smith received an
honourable discharge on 5 June 1865.
RELATIONSHIP
Edwin Smith and Josephine McCray are the
g-g-g-grandparents of Lynne Marie Stockman.
